We’re having an auction!

SCWWAll of us agents at the Corvisiero Literary Agency and some of our friends are pooling our resources in an effort to help out the South Carolina Writers’ Workshop Conference. I attended their conference in October as a member of faculty and I have since signed two authors that pitched their projects to me there. The pool of talent was amazing and I felt a sense of community and enthusiasm from these folks that blew me away.

When we found out that due to the economy their numbers were down so much that they have a large deficit and need help, we were happy to do whatever we could.

So we put together this auction. 100% of the proceeds will go to the SCWW conference to help pay down their debt. Most of our agents are donating query and ten pages critiques, we have a platform evaluation from our PR specialist, and some of our friends have donated some items charlize_theron(a 50 page fiction edit, a first three chapters critique of a narrative nonfiction/memoir piece, a couple of signed books, a handmade necklace, and an original script from The Cider House Rules – signed by Charlize Theron).

I will post the auction up on Tuesday morning and hold bids until the end of the week. So, if you have something you would like to donate for the auction, please send me an email at michelle@corvisieroagency.com. We can use all the help we can get.

The auction will work like this: Each item will be posted separately. To bid, you will simply leave a comment on the post stating your name and your bid. Please make sure you enter a valid email address or sign in with your Facebook or Google account so that I can contact you. Payments will be due within one week of the close of the auction.

If you don’t see any items that interest you, but would still like to donate to help out the SCWW directly, please send me a message and I will put you in touch with the admin.

Thank you! See you Tuesday morning!
